Premium Mattari is a legendary Yemen Mocha grown in the high mountains of Bani Mattar, west of Sana’a. As one of Yemen’s most celebrated coffee origins, Mattari has long been prized for its heritage, rarity, and unmistakable character. For centuries, coffees from these mountains traveled through the historic Port of Mocha, helping establish Yemen’s reputation as one of the world’s most important coffee-producing regions.

Situated at elevations reaching over 2,200 meters, Bani Mattar is among Yemen’s highest coffee-growing areas. The region’s cool climate, volcanic soil, and dramatic mountain terrain create ideal conditions for producing coffees with remarkable sweetness, complexity, and depth. Farmers continue to cultivate their coffee using traditional methods passed down through generations, carefully handpicking each cherry at peak ripeness before slowly drying the harvest under the Yemeni sun.

Unlike many modern commercial coffees, Mattari retains the distinctive characteristics of traditional Yemeni coffee—naturally dense beans, highly aromatic fragrance, and unique irregular shapes that reflect minimal intervention and generations of artisanal cultivation.

In the cup, Premium Mattari offers a rich and layered experience. Notes of cacao and dark chocolate are complemented by wine-like fruit character, gentle sweetness, and a full, velvety body. Its lingering finish and remarkable complexity have made Mattari one of Yemen’s most sought-after coffees, capturing the history, craftsmanship, and enduring spirit of Yemeni coffee culture in every cup.
