Produced in the Haraz region of northwestern Yemen at elevations reaching 2,400 meters, this exceptional coffee benefits from volcanic soils and a cool mountain climate. These unique growing conditions create a cup with notes of raisin, smooth chocolate, and remarkable fruit complexity.
Producer Ahmed Abdo Ahmed devoted his life to cultivating coffee while preserving the traditional organic farming methods of Haraz. Following his unfortunate and sudden passing, his passion, knowledge, and craftsmanship live on through his son, who continues to carry the spirit of Haraz into every cup.
With only a very limited quantity still available and the future of the farm remaining uncertain, this may be a coffee that cannot be experienced again in the same way. As the cup cools, new layers of flavor gradually reveal themselves. Take time to appreciate this rare coffee and the story it carries—a moment in Yemen’s coffee history captured in a single cup.
